Since I seem to be into reviewing my flower shots, I thought I'd throw a couple more photos in that I shot of the roses in my yard. (Yeah, Daniel, I know. Who'd have thought that I would shoot flowers. Who knows what us sports photographers will shoot when there is no game!)
Today my sons, Steve and Dave, Steve's girlfriend Dara, and I took Steve's dog Onyxa for a hike up Mt Rubidoux. Been quite awhile since I've attempted the hike, but I thought I'd go along to get some shots. As I type this I remember why. Man, do my knees ache! It was fun, though. I think the last time I shot Mt. Rubidoux was when you could still drive up there.
Had a few minutes to kill, so I went to downtown Riverside and snapped off a couple of quick shots of the Mission Inn's holiday lights. Didn't have time to do it up right, just grabbed a few pics. One shot is a reflection off a large serving bowl outside the kitchen's entrance. As far as the B&W, I know it doesn't fit in with all the colored Christmas light, but I like it. Don't know why. I think it's just the starkness of the scene.
Like an empty pool, this year is waiting for you to fill it with great memories. Fill it by being real with yourself, with others, and with God. Happy New Year!
